This ink drawing is a trip in the way back machine. I used to order lunch and dinner from LaShish (which is no longer) in Dearborn, MI. Lamb chili was my favorite thing to get. I would order two, eat one for lunch and look forward to the second one for dinner. On top of the radiator it sat for warmth as I lived in a lovely house with the kitchen gutted out. As time marched on, I would rather buy takeout than stack up my chips and get the kitchen fixed. The lessons we learn.
